GIGANTIC TICKETS ANNOUNCED AS OUR PRIMARY TICKETING AGENT

Huge news for South Wales in 2024, as its newest venue the Corn Exchange, Newport is set to open later this year; Gigantic Tickets are delighted to be a part of the journey having been chosen as the new venue’s primary ticketing partner.

Excitement is building for this incredible addition to Newport's already thriving music scene. The 500-capacity Corn Exchange will bring together communities in the city, and we at Gigantic Tickets are honoured to be a part of this historic launch, providing the venue's ticketing infrastructure.

The venue will benefit from our hybrid ticketing solution: using the full range of technical support from our in-house event management and client services teams, while also taking advantage of our intuitive self-service dashboard.

Sam Dabb, Steering Group Chair at Corn Exchange Newport, said: "We were looking for a ticketing partner for the Corn Exchange, a brand new 500-capacity music venue and event space in Newport, and we went straight to Gigantic. I’ve worked with them previously and love the speed of reply from their event managers, the ease of the dashboard in terms of finding information you need, and just generally how quick, simple, and stress free they make ticketing events."

Simon Carpenter, Chief Commercial Officer at Gigantic Tickets, said: "I am delighted to welcome Newport Corn Exchange to Gigantic Tickets. Sam and the rest of the team are a passionate group of music fans making a positive impact on the live music scene in South Wales, and to play a small part in supporting that is fantastic."

DIOLCH YN FAWR!

So in the early hours of Christmas Day, we hit our optimal funding target of £40k! All of us are absolutely blown away and we can’t thank you all enough for your love, your belief in us and the fact that you share our excitement for this project. 🌟

❗️BUT what’s even more amazing is that thanks to your generosity we are already on the way to hitting our stretch target which will allow us to purchase extra equipment and lighting, decorate the venue to the highest level so ensure artists choose to visit time and time again. ✅

Become a shareholder!

As a group of volunteers, we are passionate not only about the Newport music scene but about the city itself – and its amazing community. We feel that  Corn Exchange being a community benefit society will reflect our commitment to the wider community, with profits being invested back into the business to improve it not only as a space for live bands and businesses but for the community to use.

We have managed to secure some funding and sponsorship already, which has reduced the amount we need to raise significantly. This will allow us to begin to renovate and open the venue.

However, we still need your investment to help us do the best job we can. We want everything to be the highest quality; the best it possibly can be, to enable us to attract artists from all over the world to Newport.

Music Lovers' Bold Plan For City Venue

A team of music lovers have announced their plan to transform Newport’s Corn Exchange into a grassroots music venue.

The Corn Exchange volunteer steering group, featuring Le Pub operations manager Sam Dabb and city councillor Emma Stowell-Corten, music promoter Elisha Djan, financial controller Emma Jones, Stacey Alford (Press Play With Stacey), Zac Mather (CHROMA) and English and theatre student Eleri Gray, want to restore the High Street building to its original use - as a place for the community to gather.

Whilst still in the planning application process, they have a vision for a 500-capacity live music venue that also offers space for conferences, weddings and other celebrations.
